Features:
- High Precision
The calibration kit is a key tool to ensure that vector network analyzer (VNA) and other RF instruments provide accurate measurement for the test plane of the equipment. Due to the inherent increase in phase and impedance changes in the interconnection of RF testing equipment, measurements conducted through VNA without calibration will include the S-parameters and time-domain characteristics of the interconnection testing system. The precision calibration kit is used to provide a reference plane starting from the interconnection of the DUT. In this way, RF testing equipment (mainly VNA) can automatically perform complex de embedding operations without the need for additional data processing.
The short-circuit component of the 3.5mm calibration kit is used to "short-circuit" the energy generated and emitted by VNA, while the open-circuit component is formally an end of an unterminated transmission line that does not allow coupling and radiation from the external environment.
The load of the N calibration kit is used to match the transmission line impedance and port impedance of VNA and the tested equipment.
The straight adapter is a simple adapter that connects two ports of the 2.92mm calibration kit, and is not visible due to its design goal of being as close to the ideal transmission line as possible. The 2.4mm calibration kit includes various standard coaxial connectors of different sizes, with the most common being the N-type connector.
Due to the wide variety of tested equipment and coaxial cables, precision adapter kits are a very important accessory for calibration kits. For such adapters, they must have high quality.
