    An open ended waveguide probe is a hollow metal tube (common shapes such as rectangular, circular, etc.) that opens one end of the waveguide to allow for specific electromagnetic interactions with the outside world. It has the characteristics of simple structure, regular shape, and good directional pattern, and is often used as a measurement probe in near-field antenna measurement systems.

    Working Principle:

    When microwave signals are transmitted inside the waveguide and reach the open end, electromagnetic waves will radiate outward and interact with the detected object or the electromagnetic field environment it is in. For example, when detecting the dielectric properties of materials, the electromagnetic waves radiated from the opening act on the material, causing it to reflect, refract, absorb, etc. By analyzing the feedback signal changes received by the probe, the corresponding characteristic parameters can be obtained. For example, in the field of electromagnetic field distribution measurement, an open ended waveguide probe serves as a sensitive receiving "port" for electromagnetic fields, which can sense the strength, phase, and other information of the electromagnetic field at its location.

    Application:

    1.Antenna measurement field: Helps measure the near-field characteristics of antennas, such as the distribution of electromagnetic fields in the near-field, assists in analyzing antenna performance, and optimizes antenna design.
