This waveguide coupler is mainly used for bandpass filteloop and short-circuit impedance matching for transmission lines. This coupler can transfer high-frequency energy from one transmission line to another, thereby achieving beam coupling.
The working principle of waveguide loop coupler mainly depends on two aspects: the transmission characteristics of the loop coupler and the microstrip line.Directional coupler refers to a power divider with directionality.
This annular coupling consists of two adjacent half loops, with one half loop serving as the input port and the other half loop serving as the output port. When the high-frequency signal reaches the annular coupling along the input port, it will be transmitted to the adjacent half loop. At this point, due to the presence of the magnetic field, the signal will also be transmitted to the other half loop, thereby achieving energy coupling. Ultimately, it is possible to couple the input signal from the input port to the output port while ensuloop a high degree of coupling efficiency.
The main performance indicators for measuloop directional couplers include operating frequency range, coupling degree (or transition attenuation), directionality, and input/output standing wave ratio.
1. The coupling degree refers to the decibel ratio of the input power of the main waveguide to the output power of the coupling port under the condition of matching load at each port.
2. The directionality refers to the decibel ratio of the output power of the coupling port to the output power of the isolation port under the condition of matching load at each port. Directional couplers are widely used for signal sampling in power distribution and microwave measurement.
Qualwave supplies broadband and high power single directional loop couplers in a wide range from 2.6 to 18GHz. The couplers are widely used in many applications.
